Family’s are such an important thing for everyone. Every person on this earth has some type of family. There’s so many things you could call family parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents and even a friend. Another thing family’s are is a support system. No matter if it’s a good or bad relationship they are still give some support. With family science research there are so many challenges but also good statistics. When focusing on just parents and the outcomes of there children. There are so many different factors involved. For example when you are selecting a group of people to test it needs to be more of a random selection of families so you get better results. When you ask questions you want to ask both parents and the children. You want to ask both because the parents might say they are doing something but doing something else. Or they might want to say that they are doing something really good for there children and loving them but they aren’t doing that. Or the parents want to fit in with what all the other parents are doing. If you ask the children they will most likely tell you what the parents are really doing. They will also give you a better understanding of what’s going on in there family. The children will know how life is at home and in other environments. When trying to find the outcome for the children you could take into consideration there teachers and distantly related family members. The children’s teachers could tell you how they are doing in education factors. They also can tell you how they act In sociable times as well. The teachers could definitely tell if the student has changed depending on how well they are doing in there study’s. Or even when they are sitting in the classroom. If you talk to aunts and uncles they can more so tell you how they act at family functions and if they have a good relationship with there parents. The aunt and uncle or cousin can tell you if the parent and kid have a healthy relationship. Or if they get along well or if they clash. Another person to talk to would be grandparents. The grandparents could have a good connection with both the parents and child. They could tell you how well the parent is doing at taking care of the child. The grandparents can tell you how the child is changing as they get older and if they have a good home life. On the other hand if you pick a group of family’s in the same neighborhood or not a random selection you most likely you will get the same results or they will all talk about what they are going to say. So then your results would not be as accurate as if your were to take a random selection. Then the parents couldn’t talk about what they said or what they are going to say. Also if you take a friend of a friend you won’t get the results you are looking for. If you want the right results you need to select a good group of people and know why you are selecting these people to talk to. Overall you need to select a good but random selection of people to work with and talk to. If you don’t you aren’t getting the accurate results. With having false results you aren’t really doing anything to benefit the research. With knowing what people to survey and what question to ask you can succeed with your project and research.
